The SprinNG Women Authors Prize has announced the semi-finalists for its inaugural prize. The semi-finalists are Cheluchi Onyemelukwe-Onuobia for The Son of the House, Azizah Idris M for A Sackful of Wishes, and Olaoluwa Oni for The YNBA.
The prize is awarded annually to a Nigerian female author who has published a full-length book. ₦200,000 cash prize will be invested in the purchasing, distributing, and marketing of the winning book nationwide through “literary websites and events.”
The winner of this year’s prize will be announced via Zoom on January 15, 2021, at 12pm.
The inauguration prize was judged by Hauwa Shaffii Nuhu, Eketi Edima Ette, I.S Jones, and Mona Zutshi Opubor.
