Along House is currently seeking for its first issue, Origin. They are interested in critical discourse, fiction, non-fiction, poetry, philosophy, memoirs, conversations, photography, collages, illustrations, sound and soundscapes, film and works that connect a long line between the present and the past beyond the presently accepted past, so that we begin to properly reassert the right to our names, our gaze, our bodies, to name our bodies, to name our prophecies, our lineage, our hungers, and our futures in ways that are purely defined by us, devoid of any boundaries. Black Warrior Review is accepting free submissions from Black and Indigenous writers until September 1, 2021. They want a packet of three poems or a short story or an essay of up to 7,000 words. The 2021 Lambda Award for Gay Poetry winner Eduardo C. Corral is the guest judge for poetry. Author of Bestiary K-Ming Chang is the guest judge for fiction. The nonfiction guest judge is the poet and essayist Su Cho. The Nigerian writer J.K. Chukwu will guest-judge flash fiction.
