Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie has released a new short story titled, “Zikora.” This is her official piece of fiction seven years after her third novel, Americanah. The short story centers on the life of a Nigerian lawyer living in Washington DC who was abandoned by her highly celebrated partner after he learned of her pregnancy.
In this story, Zikora, the main character, faces loss and abandonment by a lover, as well as a tense relationship with her over caring mother who comes to guide her through childbirth and motherhood.
