Dear writers and readers,

There’ve been a number of adjustments and developments on Afreecan Read Literary Initiative within the last one year, all of which will be announced in due time.

In the meantime, I wish to welcome Ugochukwu Anadi to our team. After a month of probation, our management team has appointed him the new editor for Book Reviews. He will be leading a team of five book reviewers who will be announced within the next two months.

Ugochukwu Anadị is an avid reader and writer. His writings, a mix of the creative and the critical, have been published by Afritondo, Afreecan Read, Afapinen, Afrocritik, ANA Review, Brittle Paper, Brilliant Flash Fiction, Conscio Magazine amongst others. They have been shortlisted also for the Africa@2050 Climate Fiction Contest, the Ikéngà Prize for Fiction and won the Nelson Mandela Peace Prize for Human Rights Writing. When he is not yapping about books, he is taking the Youth Leadership Development Programme courses at LEAP Africa where he hopes to gather skills on Literacy Advocacy and Literary Activism and general leadership. He writes mainly about books and stories that explore Igbo Cosmology and Metaphysics, human sexuality or any other thing that catches his fancy. He can be reached via anadivincent4@gmail.com.

I warmly welcome Ugochuwkwu Anadi, confident that all entries for Book Reviews and Essays on AR are in good hands.

Anthony Dim,

AR’s Managing Editor.
