The Muse Journal, a publication of the Department of English and Literary Studies, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, recently put out a call for submissions for its 50th issue. It is tagged the “Homecoming” Issue, but submissions can be on any theme. Chika Unigwe and Unoma Azuah will be guest editing.

An annual publication, the journal accepts submissions from different genres: flash fiction, short stories, one act plays, critical essays, book reviews, poetry, hybrids and artworks. There are prizes to be won. However, only student contributors are eligible.

The Muse Journal is an annual publication of the Department of English and Literary Studies, University of Nigeria, Nsukka. It is the oldest-surviving students’ journal in West Africa, and founded by Chinua Achebe in 1963.
