Cheluchi Onyemelukwe-Onuobia has been awarded the 2020 SprinNG Women Authors Prize for her novel, The Son of the House.
Cheluchi was announced winner from a shortlist that included Azizah Idris M’s A Sackful of Wishes and Olaoluwa Oni’s The YNBA.

In 2019, The Son of the House won the Best International Fiction Book Award category at the Sharjah International Book Fair. A UK and Italian edition of the book is forthcoming from Europa Editions.
